Jensen release new 6″ petrol driven chipper.
Jensen have recently launched a new version of the ever popular 6″ A530 Chipper. With new exhaust emission legislation that will come into force in 2019, Jensen have manufactured a petrol driven towable chipper! By 2019, diesel engines for this class are more than likely to be equipped with diesel particulate filters. This will lead to a substantial increase in cost, and also have much larger installation dimensions, which will have a huge consequence on the design of the chipper. By using petrol engines which comply with exhaust emission legislations, these issues will completely disappear.
Briggs & Stratton Engines
The all new petrol A530 will be powered by a Briggs & Stratton Vanguard engines with a power of 35hp. These will lead to a capacity of up to 15 square meters of timber per hour, leading to a performance similar to the diesel equivalent. The weight of the unit is to be roughly 710kg therefore the unit will be ideal for drivers who have a weight restricted class B driving license.
